Update

Well, I finally got free from all hinderances to my foot. However, it is
still swollen and I’m supposed to be careful till the end of June.
Meanwhile, my back went out. Many of these problems will be solved
whenever I can get back on the program and LOST THIS WEIGHT!!!  I
suspect that the original group that I was a part of are doing great! I
will follow their footsteps as soon as I can, believe me!!

Breakfast Eggs

3 Eggs, over medium, liberally seasoned with Mrs Dash Table Seasoning, and some celery salt. Add 1/4 cup of shredded mexican style cheese, and nuke for a minute. Then add greenĀ  Jalapeno sauce, and enjoy! YUMM!!

T8WC Thursday

Hello Guys.

I am now in a cast (left foot almost to my knee). It is a no-load bearing cast. Doc said “keep your toes above your nose” for 2 weeks. Not sure how this is going to pan out. But I will not be compliant for a while. I will try to eat right, but being home alone and not able to get around prevents a lot of things. Sorry. I certainly did not mean to fracture my foot. However, I must let it heal. Keep up the good work, fellas! You can do it!

T8WC Tuesday

Went to be early. But I got in my workout and food – compliant! We had to go to the doctor, was out and about during supper time, so we stopped at Hen House and had a chicken/salad by the pound! We built is, so it was all on our diet. Quite good, actually! We were amused at ourselves, comparing the difference between 2 months ago culinary habits and current culinary habits. Very different! We are starting to enjoy this different lifestyle – partially because we are starting to feel better, and partially because we are starting to enjoy the food!

Great Meat Sauce

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons chili powder (and Cayen too if you like it HOT)
1 tablespoon flax seed meal
2 teaspoons cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic (Fresh minced best)
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon cilantro
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 cups water
2 (8 ounce) can rotel

I pour this over chicken or turkey and serve as enchiladas sauce…(without the tortillas… But when we go on T8WC: No Retreat… I love flatout breads, made with flax seed(Costco carries) the http://www.flatoutbread.com)

Hello guys!

I just occured to me that I (once again) did not send an email last night. It is “revival” week at our church, and I have many things on my mind. No excuse, I know, but this email at night somehow gets neglected. I apologize for that.

I was compliant with food yesterday. I did not exercise. I will be completely compliant today – no problems.

T8WC – Saturday

I was compliant Saturday. Sorry I didn’t send this last night. We drove with our grandson to one of our favorite eating places – the Burger Bar in Carrollton. Our grandson and my wife each had the beefy burger – similar to Maid Rite. I had 2 chicken breasts – grilled – without the bread or mayo. It was very good!
